Big Dutchman Southern Africa is proud to present an ongoing turnkey layer project in Harrismith, consisting of six modern layer houses, each designed to accommodate 30,000 birds, bringing the total capacity to 180,000 layers.
The scope of this project covers every stage of development – from steel structures, and electrical installations to the complete supply of Big Dutchman equipment. Each house is being fitted with state-of-the-art cage systems, configured in three rows with four tiers, measuring 9m x 108m. These systems ensure durability, efficiency, and ease of management, making them a reliable solution for long-term operation.
Once complete, this installation will stand as one of the most advanced in the region, showcasing Big Dutchman’s expertise in delivering complete, future-ready solutions for commercial egg producers.
