for Pig Rearing and Finishing

Big Dutchman offers dry feeders as well as wet feeders. Both are ideally suited for use in piglet rearing and/or pig finishing. All feeders can dispense pellets, crumbles or meal. Feed can be supplied either manually or by any type of dry feeding system.

The feeders can stand in the pen or be installed into the pen partition. All versions are easy to handle.

Advantages of Automated Feeders

  • for up to 40 or 70 – 80 weaners from 8 kg *
  • for up to 40 or 70 – 80 finishing pigs *

Main advantages

  • easy adjustment of the amount of feed to be dispensed;
  • a 360° pivoted dosing mechanism ensures that the feed flows freely and can easily be operated by the pigs;
  • a separate pipe for water circulation prevents deposits of vitamins or medication in the drinker pipe;
  • a feed-saving collar keeps pigs from wasting feed;
  • a small opening in the trough ensures that excess water can run off;
  • the deep stainless steel trough is arranged at some distance above the ground to facilitate thorough cleaning underneath the trough;
  • equipped with 2 or 3 drinking nipples;
  • transparent 100 L or 200 L hopper;
  • folding lid for quick monitoring;
  • an agitator inside the hopper (optional) prevents feed bridging.
